Choosing which logo to use

A brand can hold several named logos, and you are asked which one to use.

Plenty of brands have more than one logo: a sub-brand version, a light one and a dark one, or a different mark for each product line. A brand in Zocket can hold as many named logos as it needs.

What happens when you generate

If the brand has more than one logo, you are asked which to use before anything is generated. If the brand has only one, you are never asked and nothing slows down.

Why you are asked

Only one logo could be stored before, so whichever had been saved most recently was used every time, silently. You found out in review. Being asked up front means the mark that reaches the artwork is the one you meant.

Adding and naming logos

1. Open AI Designer, then Library.

2. Add each logo and give it a name you will recognise in a list, for example "Primary dark" or "Sub-brand horizontal".

3. The names are what you choose between at generation time, so make them distinguishable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I set a default so I am not asked every time?

Not today. Where several logos exist you are asked, because a silent default is what this replaced.

Does this apply to fonts and colours too?

No. Those come from the brand library without a prompt. The question is specific to logos, where the right answer genuinely varies by piece.

Who can add a logo?

If your workspace has the approval step turned on, the person you have made custodian approves what goes into the library.
